Sports Nutrition for Youth Athletes

Simple strategies to help you optimize your performance

We have the privilege of training many local young athletes at FitHAUS and most of these athletes are also playing sports before, or after training with us. Many have already learned that consistent strength training + conditioning results in improved sports performance. They truly are getting measurably stronger and faster, week by week. They might not know that proper fuel/nutrition is equally important to athletic performance as their effort in the gym, on the field or on the ice!

We want set FitHAUS athletes up for success and provide them with the knowledge to understand why food = fuel, and that eating the right foods can be key for unlocking success as an athlete. This workshop will be interactive and fun, but also chock-full of good information! Your athlete will learn that fueling well is something they can participate in, and have autonomy over.

  • How to build a well balanced ‘athlete’s’ plate

  • Why you need quality fuel to perform your best

  • Ideas for healthy snacks and meals and snacks, even when on the go (and a shopping list to stock your fridge and pantry)

  • When to fuel before games/practices for success.

  • WHY nutrition is just as important as training in the gym, on the field/court (if not more!!!)

FUELING TEEN ATHLETES WORKSHOP

  • Fueling Teen Athletes

    6:45-7:45pm

    WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8TH

    $20 per athlete. (Parents may accompany teens at no additional cost).

    PLEASE REGISTER FOR CLASS IN WODIFY ONCE YOUR PURCHASE CLASS.

    NOTE: The workshop will be mixed ages. We feel that kids aged 11+ are appropriate to attend this workshop solo. This workshop is intended and developed for teen and pre-teen students, but they will be required to sit and be attentive for about an hour. If you'd like your younger athlete (under 11) to attend, we'd suggest that a parent accompany in order to ensure all of the information we are sharing is absorbed. (Parents accompanying young athletes do not have to purchase a ticket).
