1. Why did you decide you should get help with nutrition?
I wanted to lose a layer of body fat I felt I had been carrying around since having kids. and to continue supporting my early on-set Hashimotos and RA with healthy choices so it does not progress. I also wanted to be okay with just having a handful of M&M's versus eating the entire bag. And when Jess told me her goal was to get me to eat as much as possible, I was in.

2. What was stopping you from hitting your goals on your own?
I didn't have the right knowledge. Yes, I generally ate healthy, but I didn't have the knowledge of how much I should actually be eating and in what combo.


3. Was there anything you'd tried before that didn't end up working well for you?
I haven't tried anything real seriously in the past...everything has always been less (less calories, less carbs) and that generally has meant I have bailed within a week or two.

4. Did you have any reservations about getting help/working with a nutrition coach?
I wasn't sure I would be great at tracking but I actually really enjoy it!

5. What have been your most memorable victories so far?
I can enjoy a handful of M&M's and not feel controlled by a craving!
I'm amazed that I've lost weight and inches while eating MORE!
No signs of RA or Hashimotos!
I've definitely gotten stronger and I'm more confident in trying heavier weights during workouts!

6. Any cool body-awareness things you've learned about yourself?
When dehydrated, I crave more sweets!

7. What are you excited for next?

I'm doing my first cut right now! It's been cool to learn about cutting/bulking and know that I'll learn to do both of these things and can have confidence that I get to steer the ship when it comes to my experience and results!
