FitHAUS Featured Athlete Jason Sinning
This month we are so excited to recognize someone we all know and love, Jason Sinning. Jason has been a FitHAUS Athlete since 2020 and he is long over due to be celebrated. You’ve all heard how important consistency is when it comes to fitness…well you can’t get much more consistent than Jason. Jason is a regular 5:30am athlete, he’s not only going to keep himself accountable to show up bright and early before work, but he holds his friends accountable as well. You can count on Jason to be at nearly every FitHAUS event and gathering, either participating, or cheering on his fellow FitHAUS friends.
No matter how tough the workout, Jason is smiling and keeping spirits up. You can count on a smile and probably a good laugh in conversation with him. Jason, thank you for choosing FitHAUS. Your energy and presence are so loved in this community. We are so grateful to know you…and so grateful we won the bid for your fitness skills a while back;)
Please read below to learn a little more about Jason, and next time you see him, make sure to give him a fist bump!
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Originally from Iowa! I love to travel…somewhere hot during winter and Colorado in the summer are two favorites. Not many know this but I love texting with friends about important topics and current events.
2. What made you decide to join FitHAUS? What were you doing prior to coming to FH?
A good friend and legendary crossfit athlete/coach Katie Klug started at Fithaus and was raving about the place. I was coming from another gym and there was an intense recruiting competition for my fitness skills. Fithaus made the best offer.
3. What is your favorite thing about FitHAUS?
It’s been said many times but definitely the people. Awesome people young and…not as young. Everyone has something going on in their life so it’s nice to have a place to forget the stress and have some fun while getting a good workout.
4. What are some of the accomplishments related to physical fitness that you are most proud of. Do you have any fitness goals moving forward?
Actually I’m still kind of amazed I get up early to exercise almost every day and I actually love doing it. Main goal is to stay healthy. And make the Games of course.
5. How has being physically active bettered your life outside of the gym?
Being in better shape to do stuff with the kids, biking, playing golf, skiing etc. But also wearing Fithaus shirts and having people ask about your fitness journey is quite satisfying. Plus I think I metabolize the occasional drinks more quickly.
6. What is your favorite class or movement/skill? What is your least favorite movement?
Honestly I don’t care what it is as long as there’s a bunch of people there having fun. There’s always gonna be some pain involved. Although thrusters give me anxiety.
7. What advice would you give to someone looking to join FITHAUS?
Prepare for a new fitness addiction! Just try it for a few weeks. Nobody cares if you struggle. Eventually you’ll be pretty amazed by what you can do and how much fun you’re having.
