Know Yourself: Discover Your Ayurvedic Dosha

Have you ever wondered what actually accounts for differences in people? Why some people are fast paced and others exude stillness? Why some people are inherently light hearted and easy going and others seem to carry the weight of the world? Or why can some people forget to eat while others are counting down the minutes until their next meal? Join published author and food scientist, Maria Arundel, for this two-hour workshop that will help you discover your unique dosha. In this fun and interactive class, you will learn more about the history of Ayurveda (the sister science of yoga), your Dosha (biological constitution), and tools to help you find balance and connection to yourself and your world. Please come prepared to practice yoga asana (movement), pranayama (breath), and meditation. It is also suggested to bring writing materials.

Fall Equinox Celebration

The autumnal equinox is a time of grounding, finding balance in routine, and letting go to that which burdens you. During the equinox, the sun shines directly on the equator, and the length of day and night is nearly equal. Come celebrate the transition to fall with a 60-minute all levels yoga practice followed by community and fall-themed refreshments.

FitHAUS Labor Day Throwdown

Join us for the 5th Annual FitHAUS Labor Day Throwdown!

This is a fun event for athletes of all ages and abilities! The Throwdown will be for athletes ages 11 and above and will go throughout the morning (and into the early afternoon). After the throwdown is finished, we'll end with a kids obstacle race for ages 11 and younger (will be grouping into heats by age)!

The price of all registrations will include a shirt, food, and a swag bag (kids registrations also include shirt + food).

This year we have the following divisions for athletes 11 years and up:

Scaled:

Male / Male Team of 2

Female / Female Team of 2

Male / Female Team of 2

Rx:

Male / Female Team of 2

And for the younger kids: Kids Race (ages 3 - 11)

WHERE: FITHAUS back alley space.

WHEN: Labor Day Monday, September 6th. Approximate Start time of 8am (first heat start) going until after lunch (food to be provided). Exact heat times to be announced a couple days prior to event.

WHO: Anyone that is looking for a couple fun workouts and a little friendly competition. Invite your friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. Anyone 11 and up is welcome to Throwdown and for ages 14 and under, there will be different weights and skills required in the scaled division. Younger kids can participate in the kids event after and are encouraged to come cheer their parents, friends, siblings on in the Throwdown.

Volunteers also needed, so if you want to be involved, but don't want to get sweaty ... we would LOVE for you to help us out!!! You can sign up to volunteer using the same link to registration!

***Multiple Family Member Sign up: If you're signing yourself up AND some kids who may not have email addresses, you will have to use 'placeholder email addresses' as Competition Corner will not allow you to use the same email address.
