Pay: $40,000 - $74,600+

Job Type: Full Time

Shift / Schedule: Some nights & weekends

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated fitness professional to help run and grow our community. The ideal person for this role will have a passion for health and fitness and enjoy working with people in an fun, upbeat environment. This person must also have flexibility in their schedule, ability to think creatively to grow the business to hit revenue targets, and be able to form relationships with others in the local community. For the right individual, the earning potential could be even higher than listed with the growth of an additional personal training business.

Qualifications (education, knowledge, and experience):

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in exercise related field AND/OR management related field is highly preferred

  • Personal Training or Coaching certification: CFL1, or other NCCA accredited certification (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NSCA, PTAG, CI)

  • Must have a flexible schedule (to fill in for sub requests or last minute coaching issues). This may include some weeknights and weekends.

  • Experience coaching/leading group fitness classes (CrossFit or Strength & Conditioning type classes.

  • 1-2 years leadership / management experience preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrates excitement and enthusiasm for fitness and wellness as well as the programming FitHAUS offers.

  • Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate both coaches and members.

  • Sales: Ability to connect with individuals, companies, and organizations outside of FitHAUS to form relationships and grow membership base and/or service offerings.

  • Excellent time management skills: Ability to meet deadlines and tasks while also managing concerns, issues, or opportunities that arise daily.

  • Innovative thinker and the ability to help FitHAUS meet performance and financial goals by reaching new clients.

  • Ability to plan and run successful events for members and/or the community.

Job Description:

  • A GM will expect to split their time between coaching classes (approx 12/wk), managing current and potential clients, marketing/community engagement, and administrative tasks.

  • The GM will be a key member of the FitHAUS leadership team responsible for KPIs and business success including growth targets, revenue, new members, schedule optimization, and event planning.

  • The GM will manage a team of 5-10 coaches and will periodically provide live evaluations to provide feedback for the coach.

  • Periodically managing the class schedule to ensure we are optimizing capacity.

  • Managing the sub request process and filling in where needed.

  • Member Management: Meeting and communicating with potential new members, onboarding new members, periodically checking in with existing members, and managing all member requests, concerns, etc.

  • Marketing: reaching out to former members, building relationships in the community (business, sports teams, other organizations) to partner and grow client base.

  • A greater earning potential (over the amount listed) is definitely possible if the General Manager is able to build and grow a personal training business at FitHAUS as well.
